My favourite projects are those where the client trusts you enough to give you free reign to be creative with a concept. My instruction for this shoot was simple – “ Leentjie, neem vir ons mooi bou foto’s wat ons in Rémey se kantore kan hang.“

 

Equipped with a hard hat and gumboots, I took my camera to the building site at Clara Ana Fontein in Durbanville where Rémey was busy building the stunning Reddam House.

 

The men at work thought it was very funny that I walked around photographing shovels and bricks, but they were very happy to smile and pose.

I absolutely love the colours, textures and simplicity of the photos. Can't wait to see these printed.
